Tara Ryan

Tara Ryan is a photographer from New York. She mainly works with themes that deal with memories, identity and family. She combines handwritten memories of her family with intimate black and white portraits of her self and family. Her work was exhibited at Open Studios Hartford, and at the Hartford Art School B.F.A. Photography Exhibition. Tara received the Isadore Berson Photography Award from the University of Hartford, for her senior thesis called Entry. Tara received the Marry Ann Goodman Scholarship and a University of Hartford Artistic Merit Scholarship. She hopes to work with photographic archives within a museum collection.
